The Cup type Water Current Meter is manufactured as per IS specification. Current meters are velocity measuring devices that sample at a point. Each point velocity measurement is then assigned to a meaningful part of the entire cross section passing flow. Revolutions can be monitored by headset or a digital meter (both sold separately).
The velocity-area principal is used to compute discharge from current-meter data. Total discharge is determined by summation of partial discharges. Data are usually determined over a useful range of total discharges. These discharges are related to measured water surface elevations related to a fixed head measuring device to provide a rating curve. We also supply PIGMY type water current meter specially for shallow water & low velocities measurements. It is generally used with wading rod & Counter Display / Datalogger.

Bridge Outfit - Crane Type-A |

The Bridge Outfit - Crane is manufactured as per IS 6064-1971. The bridge outfit is to suspend current meters and samplers from a bridge into a river or canal.
The crane is made of Aluminium structure. Winch arrangement (gauging Reel) is fitted on the Crane. The current meter is lowered or lifted by Gauging Reel easily. The Gauging Reel contains crank, brake, ratchet/catch, re-settable counter (for measuring depth of current meter in water).
The crane trolley has 4 wheels with solid rubber tyres for easy movement. The cable from which the current meter is suspended has incorporated insulated
electrical conductor. The conductor connects the flow sensor revolution sensor switch to
the pulse counter or Datalogger.

Bank side Cable way for Current Meter / Sediment sampler (River)

The Bank side cableway system provides a simple, safe and speedy method of current flow measurement. When it is not possible to measure current flow, For example, the river may be too deep for wading, & there is no bridge or boat available. In such cases the ideal solution is a Cableway system.
The Guide trolley is suspended by pulleys on the rope betwen two pillars at both end of river. By rotating one drum with handle, the trolley with Current meter is moved across the river to the desired point. Set the Counter, then lowered to the required depth moving the handle out & rotating it.
The signal cable and flow meter are suspended from the Trolley. The signal is brought back through a stainless steel coaxial suspension/conductor cable to a robust open slip ring unit with jack-plug connection for a Electromagnetic Counter or Digital Meter/ Datalogger.  |

Automatic Water Level Recorder (AWLR- Chart type)

The Automatic Water Level Recorder (AWLR) is manufactured as per IS speficification & is an instrument that is both float-driven and time-driven.
It consists of mainly Float, pulley, Chart Drum, electronic clock, pen assembly. The Electronic clock ensures precision timing of chart. This instrument records changing levels of water surface in relation with time. In Weirs, canals, water flow data are obtained using AWLR, where height is an index of flow.
The rise and fall of the float with changing water levels turns the pulley & drum proportionally, as the timer controlled marker moves across the chart at constant speed. The resulting graph shows the water level against time.

Digital Water Level Recorder (Data Logger with memory module)

The Digital Water Level Recorder (DWLR) is used to measure water level in River, pond, dam, canal etc. It consists of mainly Float, pulley, Encoder, Datalogger with alphanumeric display, Real Time clock & inbuilt non-volatile memory with battery backup.
The rise and fall of the float with changing water levels turns the pulley & encoder which converts the position into digital format & sends to RISC microcontroller base datalogger. Datalogger stores the current reading at predefined data logging interval (1 min. to 12 hour) alongwith current time stamping in internal memory contineously.
Later using memory module, the data is retrived from datalogger & transfered to PC using supplied cable & communication software for further data analysis.

Water Current meters are velocity measuring devices that sample at a point. Each point velocity measurement is then assigned to a meaningful part of the entire cross section passing flow. Each rotation of current meter causes contact closure pulse output over cable. The Current meter is lowered in river, canal using wading rod, crane, winch or boat.
The Datalogger consits of 20 x 4 alphanumeric LCD display, RISC microcontroller, Real Time clock, inbuilt non volatile memory & battery. The pulse output from current meter is sensed, sampled for 20 seconds, calculated for displaying current water flow speed in meter / sec & stored in internal memory alongwith date & time stamp. At various positions of river & at different depths the readings are taken & stored.
Later using memory module, the data is retrived from datalogger & transfered to PC using supplied cable & communication software for further data analysis.

This is a light-weight sampler for collection of suspended sediment samples where wading rod sampler suspension is used. The sampler consists of a streamlined aluminium casing, which encloses a sample container.
In the sampling operation, the intake nozzle is oriented into the current and held in a horizontal position. while the samples is lowered at a uniform rate from the water surface to the bottom of the stream. The sampler continues to take its sample throughout the time of submergence.
The sampler can be supplied with a special epoxy coating for chemical and trace metal sampling applications.
